Vossloh Euro 3000

The Euro 3000 is an evolution of the EMD powered diesel locomotives built in Valencia under the direction of Alstom. They were built parallel to the Euro 4000 after Vossloh bought the plant and, with their four axles, are intended more for service in front of passenger trains. The engine used here is the EMD two-stroke engine from the 710 series as a V12. From 2006, RENFE received a total of 28 units of the series 334, which has a top speed of 200 km/h. From 2011, the Israeli state railways received 24 pieces of a modified variant designated as Euro 3000 AC. It is powered by three-phase motors and reaches 160 km/h.
