Grand Trunk No. 281 to 283

In May 1870, Baldwin delivered three 4-4-0 locomotives to the Grand Trunk Railway. They had the works numbers 2143, 2144 and 2151 and were numbered 281 to 283 by the GTR. The cylinders had a diameter of 16 inches and a stroke of 24 inches, and the drivers measured 67 inches for use in passenger and freight service. Originally built in the Grand Trunk's gauge of five feet and six inches, the locomotives were converted to standard gauge in September 1874. They were scrapped between June 1897 and December 1898.
