Henschel DHG 1200 BB

Under the designation DHG 1200 BB, Henschel offered two similar types of shunting locomotives with an output of 1,200 hp and four axles in two bogies. They used as many components as possible from the three-axle models. The first four locomotives were sold to Rheinpreussen AG in 1966 as part of the fourth post-war Henschel generation. Between 1973 and 1976, ten fifth-generation locomotives were built, which could be recognized by the no longer rounded shapes of the hoods. Of these, three went to Denmark, two to Switzerland and the rest stayed in Germany. In Austria, Jenbacher manufactured nine more locomotives under license.
