The SNCF's largest order to date were the “Autorail à grande capacité” multiple units. The goal was to replace the previously locomotive-hauled TER trains in regional traffic. They are offered for diesel and electric traction, with the Z 27500 as the variant for 1,500 V DC. It is being built as three- or four-car unit with Jacobs bogies. Between 2004 and 2010, 103 three-car and 108 four-car units were delivered to SNCF. Due to their designation starting with Z, they are also being called “ZGC” instead of “AGC”. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
