T 5 was the designation for four 0-10-0T tank locomotives built by Krauss in 1907 for the Palatine Railways. Their task was to haul heavy coal trains on the grade between Pirmasens and Biebermühle. For better curve negotiation, the first, third and fifth axles had lateral flexibility according to the Gölsdorf system. The maximum train weight on the level with its top speed of 40 km/h was 1,510 tonnes and on two percent, they could still haul 200 tonnes with 30 km/h. They were given the Reichsbahn numbers 94 001 to 94 004, but due to their low number and the lower power compared to other Länderbahn 0-10-0T, they were already retired in 1926. 94 002 is still preserved at the DGEG at Neustadt an der Weinstraße. It had been used by a mining company until 1974 after the Reichsbahn had retired it.
