The numbers 2.311 to 2.380 were 4-4-0T tank locomotives built for light tramways in the territory of the Nord and the Nord-Belge. For their small size, they had a powerful boiler and around 70 percent of their service weight rested on their drivers. Due to this, they were actually used for suburban service in Paris where they often hauled 18 to 20 coaches. Their nickname was “Ravachol” after the anarchist who was arrested at the time when these locomotives were put into service. With the founding of SNCF, they became 220 TA. Their service ended around 1950.
