In 1946, Hunslet built eleven eight-coupled shunters for the Nigerian Railways. They had both side tanks and an additional tender. The cylinders measured 18 by 23 inches, with drivers of 42.75 inches. The first batch carried the running numbers 74 to 84. Numbers 85 to 100 followed in 1949 and finally, numbers 51 to 56 were built in 1955. Works numbers were 3345 to 3355 for the first batch, 3552 to 3555 and 3625 to 3636 for the two batches in 1949 and 3857 to 3862 for the last one.
