Bbmot 640 in the Railway Historical Park Budapest
Rainer Haufe

As a development of the railcars of the ABbmot series, Ganz developed the Bbmot. This was also intended for express trains and now only had second class. The basic construction was still the same, based on the Hargita trains. Thus the railcar had a three-axle bogie at one end, the first axle of which was a carrying axle. The engine power had been increased compared to the predecessor from 450 to 500 hp. The vehicles were in use at MÁV until 1988. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
