The Ve was a series of 14 0-6-0 locomotives built in 1890 and 1891 for the KFNB. Designed for express freight service, the driver diameter measured 1,400 mm. They had inside frames and outside cylinders. The grate area was 2.2 square meters, but the tube heating surface differed between the locomotives. While the first two, numbers 511 and 512 had 117.5 square meters, all others had 124 square meters. Ten were two-cylinder compounds with cylinder diameters of 480 and 740 mm and four were simples with two cylinders of 460 mm.

The series was numbered 511 to 524. As it was found out that the compound variant was better suited for express freights, the simple locomotives 515 to 518 were later used for shunting and transfer duties at coal mines. The large number of the type IIIq built by MÁVAG for the MÁV from 1893 was very similar to the Ve. In 1909, the KFNB locomotives became kkStB class 159. After World War I, all came to the ČSD and were designated class 334.0. The first ones were withdrawn in 1933, but withdrawals of larger numbers started in 1951 and the last one was gone in 1962.
