Based on the French CC 7100, RENFE had a total of 136 electric locomotives built, which is why they were nicknamed “Francesa”. They had a lower output than their prototype and only reached 110 km/h. Their original numbers were 7600 to 7699 and 8600 to 8636, the latter having multiple controls. They later became the series 276 and the ten modernized locomotives became the 276.200. Their regular use ended in 2014 and two of them are to be refurbished so that they are ready for use again.
