The R-Train is an EMU used in Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway, also called “Hyundai Rotem EMU” due to its manufacturer. Compared to its predecessors, it is only composed of nine cars instead of twelve, but this is to be compensated for by the higher speed. Ordered for service on the East Rail line, they were originally planned to be introduced into service in 2017. They were actually only put into service in early 2021 and in total, 43 sets were built. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
