The Re 465 is a multi-purpose AC locomotive built by SLM and ABB for the BLS. It was based on the Re 460 built for the SBB and benefited from the fact that its teething troubles had already been resolved by this time. Four instead of two traction converters allow more precise anti-slip control and new traction motors produce a continuous output of 6,400 instead of 6,100 kW, with 7,000 kW for one hour. Additionally, they are capable of multiple working with older locomotives. After a modernization that was carried out between 2019 and 2022, they can also be operated together with TRAXX and Vectron locomotives. So far there is only a short text for this vehicle. In the future it will be described in more detail.
